Related Product Information for DGKK recombinant protein
Recombinant full-length human DGKK was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal His tag. The gene accession number is NP_001013764.1.
Diacylglycerol kinase kappa (DGKK) is a member of the type II diacylglycerol kinase subfamily. Diacylglycerol kinases modulate the concentration of intracellular diacylglycerol by phosphorylating, producing phosphatidic acid (PA)(1). PA regulates signaling proteins, such as protein kinases and phosphatases, and can induce cell mitosis through regulation of growth factors (2). Genetic variants of DGKk are associated with hypospadias in mild and moderate Han Chinese cases (3).

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is an enzyme that phosphorylates diacylglycerol, converting it to phosphatidic acid. The encoded protein is a membrane protein and is inhibited by hydrogen peroxide. Variations in this gene have been associated with hypospadias. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]

Product Notes

The DGKK dgkk (Catalog #AAA516807) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DGKK, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
