NCBI Description

One of two closely related genes similar to a damaged DNA binding protein originally described in mammals. May form a complex with DET1 to regulate photomorphogenesis. Loss of function mutations are lethal. The DDB1b protein binds with a number of DWD-containing proteins and may form part of a CUL4-based E3 ubiquitin ligase.

Uniprot Description

Component of light signal transduction machinery. Involved in repression of photomorphogenesis in darkness (). Plays a role in DNA repair by forming with DDB2 the UV-damaged DNA-binding protein complex (UV-DDB) ().

Product Notes

The DDB1B ddb1b (Catalog #AAA1007363) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli or Yeast or Baculovirus or Mammalian Cell and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DNA damage-binding protein 1b (DDB1B), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
