Monkey Dopamine Transporter ELISA Kit | DAT elisa kit

Monkey Dopamine Transporter ELISA Kit

Gene Names
SLC6A3; DAT; DAT1; PKDYS
Reactivity
Monkey
Synonyms
Dopamine Transporter; Monkey Dopamine Transporter ELISA Kit; DAT elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Monkey
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Monkey DAT and analogues was observed.
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
1.56 ng/ml - 50 ng/ml.
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated DAT concentrations in Monkey serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Monkey DAT antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add DAT and DAT antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of DAT in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a dopamine transporter which is a member of the sodium- and chloride-dependent neurotransmitter transporter family. The 3' UTR of this gene contains a 40 bp tandem repeat, referred to as a variable number tandem repeat or VNTR, which can be present in 3 to 11 copies. Variation in the number of repeats is associated with idiopathic epilepsy, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, dependence on alcohol and cocaine, susceptibility to Parkinson disease and protection against nicotine dependence.[provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]

Uniprot Description

DAT: Amine transporter. Terminates the action of dopamine by its high affinity sodium-dependent reuptake into presynaptic terminals. Defects in SLC6A3 are the cause of dystonia-parkinsonism infantile (DYTPRI). It is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by infantile onset of parkinsonism and dystonia. Other neurologic features include global developmental delay, bradikinesia and pyramidal tract signs. Belongs to the sodium:neurotransmitter symporter (SNF) (TC 2.A.22) family. SLC6A3 subfamily.

Product Notes

The Monkey DAT slc6a3 (Catalog #AAA017068) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA017068 ELISA Kit recognizes Monkey DAT. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Dopamine Transporter, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
