Related Product Information for DAPK2 recombinant protein
Recombinant human full-length DAPK2 was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST The gene accession number is NM_014326.
DAPK2 or death-associated protein kinase 2 belongs to a family of proapoptotic Ca(2+)/calmodulin-regulated serine/threonine kinases. Overexpression of DAPK2 induces cell apoptosis. DAPK2 has been shown to be a novel Sp1-dependent target gene for E2F1 and Krüppel-like factor 6 (KLF6) in cell death response (1). Both E2F1 and KLF6 strongly activate the DAPK2 promoter. DAPK2 plays a role in granulopoiesis where it is highly expressed. beta-catenin can block anoikis of malignant kidney and intestinal epithelial cells and promote their anchorage-independent growth by down-regulating DAPK2 (2). beta-catenin-induced down-regulation of DAPK2 requires the presence of the transcription factor TCF-4.

Product Notes

The DAPK2 (Catalog #AAA516772) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's DAPK2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Kinase Assay, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DAPK2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DAPK2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
