Related Product Information for TSPR/CRLF2 recombinant protein
Receptor for thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP). Forms a functional complex with TSLP and IL7R which is capable of stimulating cell proliferation through activation of STAT3 and STAT5. Also activates JAK2 (By similarity). Implicated in the development of the hematopoietic system. TSLP R expression is ubiquitous in the immune and hematopoietic cells, but is up-regulated in Th2-skewed cells. Cells expressing TSLP R alone bind TSLP with low affinity. Co-expression of TSLP R and IL-7 R alpha is required for high-affinity TSLP binding and signal transduction. The TSLP R and IL-7 R alpha are coexpressed primarily on monocytes and dendritic cells and at lower levels in lymphoid cells. TSLP has been shown to induce the release of T cell-attracting chemokines from monocytes and enhance the maturation of CD11c+ dendritic cells.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the type I cytokine receptor family. The encoded protein is a receptor for thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP). Together with the interleukin 7 receptor (IL7R), the encoded protein and TSLP activate STAT3, STAT5, and JAK2 pathways, which control processes such as cell proliferation and development of the hematopoietic system. Rearrangement of this gene with immunoglobulin heavy chain gene (IGH) on chromosome 14, or with P2Y purinoceptor 8 gene (P2RY8) on the same X or Y chromosomes is associated with B-progenitor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and Down syndrome ALL. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

CRLF2: Receptor for thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP). Forms a functional complex with TSLP and IL7R which is capable of stimulating cell proliferation through activation of STAT3 and STAT5. Also activates JAK2. Implicated in the development of the hematopoietic system. Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 5 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp22.3; Yp11.3

Product Notes

The TSPR/CRLF2 crlf2 (Catalog #AAA2569086) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Gly25-Lys2 31. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thymic Stromal Lymphopoietin Receptor/TSP R/CRLF2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
