Intended Uses: This product is for qualitative detection of IgM and IgG antibodies of SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 in human serum, plasma, whole blood or fingertip blood in vitro.
Principle of the Assay: This kit is based on lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay. The nitrocellulose membrane was precoated with two test lines (G and M) and a control line (C). The M-line was precoated with mouse anti-human SARS-CoV-2 IgM monoclonal antibody, which was used to detect SARS-CoV-2 IgM antibody; The G-line was precoated with mouse anti-human SARS-CoV-2 IgG monoclonal antibody, which is used to detect the SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody. The C-line (C) was precoated with control antibody. When the sample is added to the sample hole of the test card, the liquid will move along the test card under the action of chromatography. If the sample contains the SARS-CoV-2 IgM antibody, the antibody binds to the colloidal gold conjugated virus antigen. The immune complex forms a sandwich complex with the precoated mouse anti-human IgM monoclonal antibody at the M line (M), showing a purplish red at the M line (M), indicating positive IgM antibody for the novel coronavirus. The same with G line (G), if the sample contains the SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody, then bind to the gold-labeled SARS-CoV- 2 antigen. The immune complex forms a sandwich complex at the G line (G) with the precoated mouse anti-human IgG monoclonal antibody, showing a purplish red G line (G), indicating that the SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody is positive. If the test line G and M do not produce color, then, the results are negative. The C line (C) is coated with rabbit anti-chicken IgY antibody, which should bind to the gold-antibody conjugate and forms a burgundy colored line regardless of the presence of SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 antibodies.
