CMA1 / Chymase 1 Recombinant Protein | CMA1 recombinant protein
Recombinant Human CMA1 / Chymase 1 Protein (His tag)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a chymotryptic serine proteinase that belongs to the peptidase family S1. It is expressed in mast cells and is thought to function in the degradation of the extracellular matrix, the regulation of submucosal gland secretion, and the generation of vasoactive peptides. In the heart and blood vessels, this protein, rather than angiotensin converting enzyme, is largely responsible for converting angiotensin I to the vasoactive peptide angiotensin II. Alternative splicing results in multiple variants. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2015]

Product Notes
The CMA1 cma1 (Catalog #AAA2545772) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus-Insect Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The secreted recombinant human CMA1 consists of 238 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 26.6 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 33 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CMA1 cma1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CMA1 / Chymase 1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
