C-Type Lectin Domain Family 4 Recombinant Protein | CLEC4L recombinant protein
Recombinant C-Type Lectin Domain Family 4, Member L (CLEC4L)
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 2-8ºC for one month.
Aliquot and store at -80ºC for 12 months.
Stability Test:
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Accurate Molecular Mass: 42kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE reducing conditions.
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily. Members of this family share a common protein fold and have diverse functions, such as cell adhesion, cell-cell signalling, glycoprotein turnover, and roles in inflammation and immune response. The encoded type 2 transmembrane protein may play a role in dendritic cell function. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
CLEC4C: Involved in antigen-capturing. Target ligand into antigen processing and peptide-loading compartments for presentation to T-cells. May mediate potent inhibition of induction of IFN-alpha/beta expression in plasmacytoid dendritic cells. May act as a signaling receptor that activates protein- tyrosine kinases and mobilizes intracellular calcium. Does not seem to bind mannose. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Receptor, misc.; Membrane protein, integral
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12p13.2-p12.3
Cellular Component: integral to membrane; plasma membrane
Molecular Function: carbohydrate binding
Biological Process: adaptive immune response; innate immune response; stimulatory C-type lectin receptor signaling pathway

Product Notes
The CLEC4L clec4c (Catalog #AAA2033145) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E.coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Recombinant C-Type Lectin Domain Family 4, Member L (CLEC4L) reacts with Homo sapiens (Human) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's C-Type Lectin Domain Family 4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Positive Control; Immunogen; SDS-PAGE (SDS); Western Blot (WB). May be suitable for use in other assays to be determined by the end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CLEC4L clec4c for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C-Type Lectin Domain Family 4, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
