Related Product Information for CK-13/KRT13 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. anti-Human CK-13 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human CK-13 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human CK-13 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Human CK-13 can be calculated.

Uniprot Description

K13: a type I cytoskeletal keratin. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. There are two types of cytoskeletal and microfibrillar keratin: type I (acidic; 40-55 kDa) [K9 to K20] and type II (neutral to basic; 56-70 kDa) [K1 to K8]. Both a basic and an acidic keratin are required for filament assembly. Generally associates with K4

Protein type: Cytoskeletal

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q21.2

Cellular Component: intermediate filament cytoskeleton; keratin filament; nucleus

Molecular Function: structural molecule activity

Biological Process: cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; response to radiation; tongue morphogenesis

Product Notes

The Human CK-13/KRT13 krt13 (Catalog #AAA763999) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA763999 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CK-13/KRT13. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cytokeratin 13, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
