Protein Construction
A DNA sequence encoding the human CHN1 (NP_001813.1)(Ala2-Phe459) was fused with the N-terminal polyhistidine-tagged GST tag at the N-terminus.
Reconstitution
A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.
Preparation and Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid.
They are shipped out with blue ice.

Related Product Information for CHN1 recombinant protein
Background: CHN1, also known as chimerin 1, is a TPase-activating protein for ras-related p21-rac and a phorbol ester receptor. It is predominantly expressed in neurons, and plays an important role in neuronal signal-transduction mechanisms. CHN1 is involved in the assembly of neuronal locomotor circuits as a direct effector of EPHA4 in axon guidance. The CHN1 gene provides instructions for making two very similar proteins called alpha1-chimaerin and alpha2-chimaerin. These proteins play an important role in the early development of the nervous system. In particular, they help regulate complex chemical signaling pathways during the formation and development of nerve cells (neurons). These proteins help guide the growth of axons and dendrites, which are specialized extensions of neurons that transmit and receive nerve impulses throughout the nervous system.

Product Notes

The CHN1 (Catalog #AAA8121785) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus-Insect Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Ala2-Phe45 9. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CHN1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
