Immunofluorescence (IF) (Fluorescent labeling of actin filaments in paraformaldehyde-fixed and NP40-permeabilized A7r5 cells. The fixed cells were labeled with phalloidin:FITC (PF7501) at a dilution of 1:500.)

Phalloidin Reagent

Phalloidin:FITC

Reactivity
Human, Rat, Mouse, Chicken, Fish
Applications
Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry
Synonyms
Phalloidin; Phalloidin:FITC; Phall F; Phalloidin reagent
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Human, Rat, Mouse, Chicken, Fish
Specificity
Phalloidin:FITC can be used for immunocytochemical andimmunohistochemical labeling of actin filaments. Phalloidin:FITC binds polymeric and oligomeric actin, but does not bindmonomeric actin. The conjugates can be used to label actinfilaments in many species, including human, mouse, rat, chicken, and fish.
Form/Format
Phalloidin conjugates are supplied in 100ul phosphate-buffered saline, 50% glycerol, 1mg/ml BSA, and 0.05% sodium azide.
Applicable Applications for Phalloidin reagent
Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Application Notes
ICC: 1:500
IHC: 1:500
Conjugation
Phalloidin conjugated to FITC via the side chain of amino acid 7. The conjugate has a molecular weight of 1250. This fluorochrome has an excitation maximum of 495nM and emission maximum of 513nM.
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C. Stable for 1 year.

Related Product Information for Phalloidin reagent
Phalloidin is a fungal toxin isolated from the poisonous mushroom Amanita phalloides. Its toxicity is attributed to the ability to bind F-actin in liver and muscle cells. As a result of binding phalloidin, actin filaments become strongly stabilized. Phalloidin has been found to bind only to polymeric and oligomeric forms of actin, and not to monomeric actin.Fluorescent conjugates of phalloidin are commonly used to label actin filaments for immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical applications. Both rhodamine and fluorescein labeled phalloidin can be used to localize and quantify actin filaments in cells and tissues.

Product Notes

The Phalloidin (Catalog #AAA474485) is a Reagent and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phalloidin:FITC reacts with Human, Rat, Mouse, Chicken, Fish and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Phalloidin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). ICC: 1:500 IHC: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Phalloidin for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phalloidin, Reagent" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
