Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to SRP9. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for SRP9 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain SRP9, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of SRP9. You can calculate the concentration of SRP9 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
SRP9: Signal-recognition-particle assembly has a crucial role in targeting secretory proteins to the rough endoplasmic reticulum membrane. SRP9 together with SRP14 and the Alu portion of the SRP RNA, constitutes the elongation arrest domain of SRP. The complex of SRP9 and SRP14 is required for SRP RNA binding. Belongs to the SRP9 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: RNA-binding; Translation
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q42.12
Cellular Component: signal recognition particle receptor complex; signal recognition particle, endoplasmic reticulum targeting; cytosol
Molecular Function: signal recognition particle binding; RNA binding; 7S RNA binding
Biological Process: SRP-dependent cotranslational protein targeting to membrane; cellular protein metabolic process; translation; negative regulation of translational elongation; gene expression

Product Notes
The Chicken SRP9 srp9 (Catalog #AAA2515493) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2515493 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken SRP9. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SRP9, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
