Related Product Information for CDKL2 recombinant protein
Background: Cyclin-dependent kinase-like 2 (Cdkl2) is a member of cdc2-related serine / threonine protein kinase family and it is found expressed in various brain regions, including the cerebral cortex, entorinal cortex, hippocampus, amygdala, and dorsal thalamus. The high expression in these brain regions suggests that Cdkl2 may have functions in congnition and emotion processes. Cdkl2 accumulates primarily in the cytoplasm, with lower levels in the nucleus.

Description: A DNA sequence encoding the human CDKL2 (Q92772) (Met 1-His 493) was expressed, with a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.

Product Notes

The CDKL2 cdkl2 (Catalog #AAA2545071) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus-Insect Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The recombinant human CDKL2 consists of 512 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 58.3 kDa. It migrates as an approximately 63 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions as predicted. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDKL2 cdkl2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CDKL2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
