NCBI Description

Encodes a CDK-activating kinase that regulates root initial cell differentiation. Phosphorylates CDKD2 and CDKD3, but not CDKD1. Controls CDK activities and basal transcription.

Uniprot Description

CDK-activating kinase that modulates CDKD-2 and CDKD-3 activities by phosphorylation of the T-loop. Activates CDKD-2 C-terminal domain (CTD) kinase activity. Activates CDKA-1 probably by phosphorylation. Posseses a CDK kinase activity independently of association with cyclin CYCH1-1. Phosphorylates the CTD of the large subunit of RNA polymerase II.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cyclin-dependent kinase F-1 (CDKF-1), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
