Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Uniprot Description
CD2AP: an adapter protein between membrane proteins and the actin cytoskeleton. May play a role in receptor clustering and cytoskeletal polarity in the junction between T-cell and antigen-presenting cell. May anchor the podocyte slit diaphragm to the actin cytoskeleton in renal glomerolus. Required for cytokinesis. Links CD2 engagement to the WASp-evoked actin polymerization required for synapse formation and T cell activation. Attaches to membrane proteins via its three SH3 domains and attaches to and rearranges the cytoskeleton via its C-terminus. CD2AP?s interactions with the cytoskeleton result in receptor clustering and endocysosis as well as targeting proteins to degradative vesicles in the kidney. Mice carrying a heterozygous knockout of CD2AP show defects in kidney filtration, and mutations in the human gene are associated with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS3).

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD2 Associated Protein (CD2AP), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
