CCL24 recombinant protein
Recombinant Human CCL24
>=90 % determined by coomassie blue staining of a reducing SDS-PAGE gel
>=90 % determined by coomassie blue staining of a reducing SDS-PAGE gel
1.0% Trehalose
Purified recombinant protein - lyophilized
Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Lab recommends that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution. Do not vortex.
This product should be stored undiluted.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
CCL24 is also known as C-C motif chemokine 24, Eotaxin-2, CK-beta-6, and MPIF-2. CCL24 is a chemokine which is induced in macophages and promotes recruitment and activation of immune cells including eosinophils, basophils, and Th2 cells by interacting with the CCR3 receptor. Therefore, CCL24 expression increases during inflammatory disease and allergic reaction, and CCL24 has been shown to perpetuate allergic reaction (Cho et al. 2016). CCL24 is involved with proinflammatory and profibrotic reactions, particularly fibrosis of the skin and lungs (Mor et al. 2019). Furthermore, CCL24 plays a role in intrahepatic fibrosis and liver damage (Segal-Salto et al. 2020). Elevated CCL24 has been associated with primary colorectal and liver metastatic tumors (Cheng et al. 2017).
This recombinant Human CCL24 can be used to create a standard curve in a sandwich ELISA with purified Mouse anti Human CCL24 antibody, clone C05-2B5 as a capture antibody and biotinylated Mouse anti Human CCL24 antibody, clone B01-5E2 as the detection antibody.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes, a minimal activity on neutrophils, and is negative on monocytes and activated T lymphocytes. The protein is also a strong suppressor of colony formation by a multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell line. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
CCL24: Chemotactic for resting T-lymphocytes, and eosinophils. Has lower chemotactic activity for neutrophils but none for monocytes and activated lymphocytes. Is a strong suppressor of colony formation by a multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell line. Binds to CCR3. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Product Notes
The CCL24 ccl24 (Catalog #AAA226093) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's CCL24 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL24 ccl24 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL24, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
