A DNA sequence encoding the human CBR3 (O75828)(Met1-Trp277) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.
Reconstitution
A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.
Preparation and Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid.
They are shipped out with blue ice.

Related Product Information for CBR3 recombinant protein
Background: CBR3, also known as hCBR3, belongs to the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family. CBR3 is expressed in ovary, pancreas, intestine, colon, kidney, brain, thymus, lung, heart, liver, spleen, leukocyte, prostate and testis. It is a monomeric NADPH-dependent oxidoreductase and is closely linked to another carbonyl reductase gene-CBR1. CBR3 catalyzes the reduction of a large number of biologically and pharmacologically active carbonyl compounds to their corresponding alcohols. It has low NADPH-dependent oxidoreductase activity towards 4-benzoylpyridine and menadione (in vitro).

NCBI Description

Carbonyl reductase 3 catalyzes the reduction of a large number of biologically and pharmacologically active carbonyl compounds to their corresponding alcohols. The enzyme is classified as a monomeric NADPH-dependent oxidoreductase. CBR3 contains three exons spanning 11.2 kilobases and is closely linked to another carbonyl reductase gene - CBR1. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

CBR3: Has low NADPH-dependent oxidoreductase activity towards 4-benzoylpyridine and menadione (in vitro). Belongs to the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family.

Product Notes

The CBR3 cbr3 (Catalog #AAA8121753) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Trp27 7. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CBR3, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
