Related Product Information for Cbl-c / CBL-3 recombinant protein
Background: CBL proteins, such as Cbl-c, are phosphorylated upon activation of a variety of receptors that signal via protein tyrosine kinases. Through interactions with proteins containing SRC homology-2 (SH2) and SH3 domains, CBL proteins modulate downstream cell signaling. Cbl-c is a member of the Cbl family of E3 ubiquitin ligases. Expression of Cbl-c gene may be restricted to epithelial cells, and alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for Cbl-c gene.

Description: A DNA sequence encoding the human CBLC (AAH28915.1) (Met1-Ala474) was expressed with the N-terminal polyhistidine-tagged GST tag at the N-terminus.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the Cbl family of E3 ubiquitin ligases. Cbl proteins play important roles in cell signaling through the ubiquitination and subsequent downregulation of tyrosine kinases. Expression of this gene may be restricted to epithelial cells, and alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. Product Notes

The Cbl-c / CBL-3 cblc (Catalog #AAA2545223) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus-Insect Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The recombinant human CBLC chimera consists of 711 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 80.2 kDa. The recombinant protein migrates approximately 66 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Cbl-c / CBL-3 cblc for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cbl-c / CBL-3, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
