Related Product Information for CAMP recombinant protein
CAMP belongs to the antimicrobial peptide family, contains highly conserved N-terminal signal peptide, a cathelin domain and a structurally variable cationic antimicrobial peptide that produced by extracellular proteolysis from the C-terminus. CAMP has numerous functions besides the antimicrobial activity such as: cell chemotaxis, immune mediator induction and inflammatory response regulation.

CAMP Human Recombinant produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 163 amino acids (34-173 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 18.4kDa.

CAMP is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of an antimicrobial peptide family, characterized by a highly conserved N-terminal signal peptide containing a cathelin domain and a structurally variable cationic antimicrobial peptide, which is produced by extracellular proteolysis from the C-terminus. In addition to its antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral activities, the encoded protein functions in cell chemotaxis, immune mediator induction, and inflammatory response regulation. Product Notes

The CAMP camp (Catalog #AAA556333) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSQVLSYKE AVLRAIDGIN QRSSDANLYR LLDLDPRPTM DGDPDTPKPV SFTVKETVCP RTTQQSPEDC DFKKDGLVKR CMGTVTLNQA RGSFDISCDK DNKRFALLGD FFRKSKEKIG KEFKRIVQRI KDFLRNLVPR TES. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cathelicidin Antimicrobial Peptide, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
