Human calcium channel, voltage-dependent, alpha 2/delta subunit 1 ELISA Kit | CACNA2D1 elisa kit
Human Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-1, CACNA2D1 ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the alpha-2/delta subunit family, a protein in the voltage-dependent calcium channel complex. Calcium channels mediate the influx of calcium ions into the cell upon membrane polarization and consist of a complex of alpha-1, alpha-2/delta, beta, and gamma subunits in a 1:1:1:1 ratio. Research on a highly similar protein in rabbit suggests the protein described in this record is cleaved into alpha-2 and delta subunits. Alternate transcriptional splice variants of this gene have been observed but have not been thoroughly characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
CACNA2D1: The alpha-2/delta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels regulates calcium current density and activation/inactivation kinetics of the calcium channel. Plays an important role in excitation-contraction coupling. Belongs to the calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta family. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Human CACNA2D1 cacna2d1 (Catalog #AAA9330037) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9330037 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CACNA2D1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "calcium channel, voltage-dependent, alpha 2/delta subunit 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
