SPRR1B Antibody (C-term) Blocking Peptide

Gene Names
SPRR1B; SPRR1; GADD33; SPR-IB; CORNIFIN
Synonyms
SPRR1B; SPRR1B Antibody (C-term) Blocking Peptide; Cornifin-B; 149 kDa pancornulin; Small proline-rich protein IB; SPR-IB; SPRR1B blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the C-term region of human SPRR1B. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
89
Cellular Location
Cytoplasm.
Tissue Location
Suprabasal layers of squamous-differentiated tissues such as epidermis, esophagus, tongue and trachea
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for SPRR1B blocking peptide
Cross-linked envelope protein of keratinocytes. It is a keratinocyte protein that first appears in the cell cytosol, but ultimately becomes cross-linked to membrane proteins by transglutaminase. All that results in the formation of an insoluble envelope beneath the plasma membrane. Can function as both amine donor and acceptor in transglutaminase-mediated cross- linkage.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is an envelope protein of keratinocytes. The encoded protein is crosslinked to membrane proteins by transglutaminase, forming an insoluble layer under the plasma membrane. This protein is proline-rich and contains several tandem amino acid repeats. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]

Uniprot Description

SPRR1B: Cross-linked envelope protein of keratinocytes. Belongs to the cornifin (SPRR) family.

Product Notes

The SPRR1B sprr1b (Catalog #AAA9227992) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SPRR1B, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
