Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
376
Cellular Location
Isoform 3: Cell membrane; Peripheral membrane protein; Cytoplasmic side. Note: Isoform 3 associates with the plasma membrane in a lipid-dependent manner
Tissue Location
Expressed in testis, small and large intestines, liver, kidney and pancreas. Isoform 3 is mainly expressed in colon. Isoform 1 is preferentially expressed in testis.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for NOXO1 blocking peptide
Constitutively potentiates the superoxide-generating activity of NOX1 and NOX3 and is required for the biogenesis of otoconia/otolith, which are crystalline structures of the inner ear involved in the perception of gravity. Isoform 3 is more potent than isoform 1 in activating NOX3. Together with NOXA1, may also substitute to NCF1/p47phox and NCF2/p67phox in supporting the phagocyte NOX2/gp91phox superoxide-generating activity.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an NADPH oxidase (NOX) organizer, which positively regulates NOX1 and NOX3. The protein contains a PX domain and two SH3 domains. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2012]

Uniprot Description

NOXO1: Constitutively potentiates the superoxide-generating activity of NOX1 and NOX3 and is required for the biogenesis of otoconia/otolith, which are crystalline structures of the inner ear involved in the perception of gravity. Isoform 3 is more potent than isoform 1 in activating NOX3. Together with NOXA1, may also substitute to NCF1/p47phox and NCF2/p67phox in supporting the phagocyte NOX2/gp91phox superoxide-generating activity. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The NOXO1 noxo1 (Catalog #AAA9222624) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NOXO1, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
