Golgi apparatus membrane. Golgi apparatus, trans-Golgi network. Cytoplasmic vesicle. Cytoplasm, cytosol. Note: Predominantly cytosolic. Detected on vesicle-like cytoplasmic structures and on the cis-Golgi. Not associated with actin filaments
Tissue Location
Widely expressed. Expressed in the spleen, peripheral leukocytes, testes, brain, thymus and small intestine
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for CORO7 blocking peptide
F-actin regulator involved in anterograde Golgi to endosome transport: upon ubiquitination via 'Lys-33'-linked ubiquitin chains by the BCR(KLHL20) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, interacts with EPS15 and localizes to the trans-Golgi network, where it promotes actin polymerization, thereby facilitating post- Golgi trafficking. May play a role in the maintenance of the Golgi apparatus morphology.

NCBI Description

Coronins, such as CORO7, constitute an evolutionarily conserved family of WD-repeat actin-binding proteins. CORO7 plays a role in Golgi complex morphology and function (Rybakin et al., 2004, 2006 [PubMed 15327992] [PubMed 16905771]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

coronin 7: May play a role in the maintenance of the Golgi apparatus morphology and in the protein export from the Golgi. Belongs to the WD repeat coronin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Vesicle

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p13.3

Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; integral to membrane; membrane; trans-Golgi network

Product Notes

The CORO7 coro7 (Catalog #AAA9217858) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CORO7, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
