Related Product Information for Tricosanoic acid biochemical
Tricosylic acid also known as N-tricosanoate or tricosylate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as very long-chain fatty acids.Tricosylic acid has been detected in multiple biofluids such as blood and urine. Within the cell tricosylic acid is primarily located in the membrane (predicted from logP) cytoplasm and adiposome. Tricosylic acid is also a parent compound for other transformation products including but not limited to beta-D-galactosyl-N-(tricosanoyl)sphingosine beta-D-galactosyl-(1->4)-beta-D-glucosyl-(11)-N-tricosanoylsphingosine and N-(tricosanoyl)- [ (4E6E)-tetradecasphingadienine]-1-phosphoethanolamine. Outside of the human body tricosylic acid can be found in citrus date and papaya. This makes tricosylic acid a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products.

Product Notes

The Tricosanoic acid (Catalog #AAA3609726) is a Biochemical and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tricosanoic acid, Biochemical" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
