Preparation and Storage

THOC7 (THO Complex 7) is a Protein Coding gene. The THOC7 gene, located on 3p14.1, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, fruit fly, mosquito, and frog. THOC7 is widely expressed in the adrenal, colon, and other tissues. THOC7 and Fms-interacting protein (FMIP) are members of the THO complex that associate with the mRNA export apparatus. The FMIP is a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein with a nuclear localization signal (NLS), whereas THOC7 does not contain a typical NLS motif. Diseases associated with THOC7 include Ogden Syndrome. The related pathways of THOC7 are Cleavage of Growing Transcript in the Termination Region and Transport of Mature Transcript to Cytoplasm.
