Related Product Information for BCDE elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: BCDE ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-BCDE antibody and an BCDE-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with BCDE-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the BCDE concentration since BCDE from samples and BCDE-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-BCDE antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by BCDE from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind BCDE-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The BCDE concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description
This gene encodes a cytokine that acts as a growth and differentiation factor for both B cells and eosinophils. The encoded cytokine plays a major role in the regulation of eosinophil formation, maturation, recruitment and survival. The increased production of this cytokine may be related to pathogenesis of eosinophil-dependent inflammatory diseases. This cytokine functions by binding to its receptor, which is a heterodimer, whose beta subunit is shared with the receptors for interleukine 3 (IL3) and colony stimulating factor 2 (CSF2/GM-CSF). This gene is located on chromosome 5 within a cytokine gene cluster which includes interleukin 4 (IL4), interleukin 13 (IL13), and CSF2 . This gene, IL4, and IL13 may be regulated coordinately by long-range regulatory elements spread over 120 kilobases on chromosome 5q31. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]

Product Notes
The Bovine BCDE il5 (Catalog #
AAA744410) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA744410 ELISA Kit recognizes Bovine BCDE.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"B cell differentiation factor, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
