Related Product Information for ATP5F1 recombinant protein
ATP5F1 is a subunit of mitochondrial ATP synthase. Mitochondrial ATP synthase catalyzes ATP synthesis, utilizing an electrochemical gradient of protons across the inner membrane during oxidative phosphorylation. ATP synthase is composed of two linked multi-subunit complexes: the soluble catalytic core, F1, and the membrane-spanning component, Fo, comprising the proton channel. The catalytic portion of mitochondrial ATP synthase consists of 5 different subunits (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and epsilon) assembled with a stoichiometry of 3 alpha, 3 beta, and a single representative of the other 3. The proton channel seems to have nine subunits (a, b, c, d, e, f, g, F6 and 8). Recombinant human ATP5F1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a subunit of mitochondrial ATP synthase. This gene encodes the b subunit of the proton channel. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Mitochondrial membrane ATP synthase (F1F0 ATP synthase or Complex V) produces ATP from ADP in the presence of a proton gradient across the membrane which is generated by electron transport complexes of the respiratory chain. F-type ATPases consist of two structural domains, F1 - containing the extramembraneous catalytic core, and F0 - containing the membrane proton channel, linked together by a central stalk and a peripheral stalk. During catalysis, ATP synthesis in the catalytic domain of F1 is coupled via a rotary mechanism of the central stalk subunits to proton translocation. Part of the complex F0 domain and the peripheric stalk, which acts as a stator to hold the catalytic alpha3beta3 subcomplex and subunit a/ATP6 static relative to the rotary elements.

Product Notes

The ATP5F1 atp5f1 (Catalog #AAA205757) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's ATP5F1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ATP5F1 atp5f1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSLILYALS KEIYVISAET FTALSVLGVM VYGIKKYGPF VADFADKLNE QKLAQLEEAK QASIQHIQNA IDTEKSQQAL VQKRHYLFDV QRNNIAMALE VTYRERLYRV YKEVKNRLDY HISVQNMMRR KEQEHMINWV EKHVVQSIST QQEKETIAKC IADLKLLAKK AQAQPVM. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATP5F1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
