Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. anti-Rat AR antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Rat AR antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Rat AR amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration ofRat AR can be calculated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the epidermal growth factor family. It is an autocrine growth factor as well as a mitogen for astrocytes, Schwann cells and fibroblasts. It is related to epidermal growth factor (EGF) and transforming growth factor alpha (TGF-alpha). The protein interacts with the EGF/TGF-alpha receptor to promote the growth of normal epithelial cells, and it inhibits the growth of certain aggressive carcinoma cell lines. It also functions in mammary gland, oocyte and bone tissue development. This gene is associated with a psoriasis-like skin phenotype, and is also associated with other pathological disorders, including various types of cancers and inflammatory conditions. Product Notes

The Rat AR areg (Catalog #AAA763740) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA763740 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat AR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Amphiregulin, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
