Human Adenomatous polyposis coli protein ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a tumor suppressor protein that acts as an antagonist of the Wnt signaling pathway. It is also involved in other processes including cell migration and adhesion, transcriptional activation, and apoptosis. Defects in this gene cause familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), an autosomal dominant pre-malignant disease that usually progresses to malignancy. Disease-associated mutations tend to be clustered in a small region designated the mutation cluster region (MCR) and result in a truncated protein product. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
APC: a tumor suppressor. Defects in APC are a cause of familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). Promotes rapid degradation of CTNNB1 and participates in Wnt signaling. Activity is correlated with its phosphorylation state. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The Human APC apc (Catalog #AAA2881599) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2881599 ELISA Kit recognizes Human APC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Adenomatous polyposis coli protein, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
