Anoctamin-9 (ANO9) Recombinant Protein | ANO9 recombinant protein
Recombinant Human Anoctamin-9 (ANO9), partial
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TMEM16 (anoctamin) family of proteins, some of which form integral membrane calcium-activated chloride channels. The function of the encoded protein has yet to be elucidated, although it may have channel-forming abilities and also may have phospholipid scramblase activity. This gene has been observed to be upregulated in stage II and III colorectal cancers. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]
Uniprot Description
Has calcium-dependent phospholipid scramblase activity; scrambles phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine and galactosylceramide (). Does not exhibit calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC) activity. Can inhibit the activity of ANO1.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Anoctamin-9 (ANO9), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
