Uniprot Description

APC11: Component of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a cell cycle-regulated E3 ubiquitin ligase that controls progression through mitosis and the G1 phase of the cell cycle. The APC/C complex acts by mediating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of target proteins: it mainly mediates the formation of 'Lys-11'-linked polyubiquitin chains and, to a lower extent, the formation of 'Lys-48'- and 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains. May recruit the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes to the complex. Belongs to the RING-box family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Ligase; Ubiquitin ligase; Cell cycle regulation; EC 6.3.2.-; Ubiquitin conjugating system

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q25.3

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; anaphase-promoting complex; nucleolus; cytosol

Molecular Function: zinc ion binding; ubiquitin-protein ligase activity

Biological Process: positive regulation of ubiquitin-protein ligase activity during mitotic cell cycle; mitosis; negative regulation of ubiquitin-protein ligase activity during mitotic cell cycle; regulation of ubiquitin-protein ligase activity during mitotic cell cycle; cell division; anaphase-promoting complex-dependent proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; mitotic cell cycle spindle assembly checkpoint; protein ubiquitination; mitotic cell cycle

Product Notes

The ANAPC11 anapc11 (Catalog #AAA152348) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's APC11 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). APC11 peptide is used for blocking the activity of APC11 antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ANAPC11 anapc11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "APC11, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
