Reactivity
Fish
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Fish Amyalpha and analogues was observed.
Sequence Length
511
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
15.6U/L-500U/L.
Sensitivity
2.0U/L.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated Amyalpha concentrations in Fish serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Fish Amyalpha antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add Amyalpha and Amyalpha antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of Amyalpha in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

Amylases are secreted proteins that hydrolyze 1,4-alpha-glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, and thus catalyze the first step in digestion of dietary starch and glycogen. The human genome has a cluster of several amylase genes that are expressed at high levels in either salivary gland or pancreas. This gene encodes an amylase isoenzyme produced by the pancreas. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Fish Amyalpha amy2a (Catalog #AAA077098) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA077098 ELISA Kit recognizes Fish Amyalpha. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Amylase Alpha, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
