Protein Construction
A DNA sequence encoding the rhesus ACVR1C (NP_001253619.1)(Gly25-Glu113) was expressed with the Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus.
Reconstitution
A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.
Preparation and Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid.
They are shipped out with blue ice.

Related Product Information for ACVR1C recombinant protein
Background: ALK-7, also known as ALK7 and ACVR1C, belongs to the ALK family. It is a type I receptor for the TGFB family of signaling molecules. TGF-beta is the prototype of a protein superfamily which, in humans, contains at least 35 members, including activins, inhibins, bone morphogenetic proteins, growth/differentiation factors, and Mullerian inhibiting substance. ALK-7 is a serine-threonine kinase that can cause the activation of one of the SMAD signal transducers, SMAD2. ALK-7 has a ligand known as Nodal. Nodal stimulates the secretion of TIMP-1 and inhibits matrix metalloproteinases MMP-2 and MMP-9 activity. The overexpression of Nodal or constitutively active ALK-7 decreases cell migration and invasion, whereas knock-down of Nodal and ALK-7 has the opposite effects.

Product Notes

The ACVR1C (Catalog #AAA8123543) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Gly25-Glu1 13. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ALK-7, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
