Related Product Information for AIP elisa kit
Principle of the assay: AIP ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-AIP antibody and an AIP-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with AIP-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the AIP concentration since AIP from samples and AIP-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-AIP antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by AIP from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind AIP-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The AIP concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for aryl hydrocarbons and a ligand-activated transcription factor. The encoded protein is found in the cytoplasm as part of a multiprotein complex, but upon binding of ligand is transported to the nucleus. This protein can regulate the expression of many xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes. Also, the encoded protein can bind specifically to and inhibit the activity of hepatitis B virus. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2014]

Product Notes

The Sheep AIP aip (Catalog #AAA751857) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA751857 ELISA Kit recognizes Sheep AIP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor Interacting Protein, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
