Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-Human ANGIIR1antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human ANGIIR1 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human ANGIIR1 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration ofHuman ANGIIR1can be calculated.

NCBI Description

Angiotensin II is a potent vasopressor hormone and a primary regulator of aldosterone secretion. It is an important effector controlling blood pressure and volume in the cardiovascular system. It acts through at least two types of receptors. This gene encodes the type 1 receptor which is thought to mediate the major cardiovascular effects of angiotensin II. This gene may play a role in the generation of reperfusion arrhythmias following restoration of blood flow to ischemic or infarcted myocardium. It was previously thought that a related gene, denoted as AGTR1B, existed; however, it is now believed that there is only one type 1 receptor gene in humans. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been reported for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2012]

Uniprot Description

AT1: receptor for angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a potent vasopressor hormone and a primary regulator of aldosterone secretion. It is an important effector controlling blood pressure and volume in the cardiovascular system. Mediates the major cardiovascular effects of angiotensin II. May play role in the generation of reperfusion arrhythmias following restoration of blood flow to ischemic or infarcted myocardium. Mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.

Product Notes

The Human AGTR1 agtr1 (Catalog #AAA762100) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA762100 ELISA Kit recognizes Human AGTR1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Type-1 angiotensin II receptor, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
