Human A Disintegrin And Metalloprotease 19 ELISA Kit | ADAM19 elisa kit
Human A Disintegrin And Metalloprotease 19 ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This ADAM19 enzyme linked immunosorbent assay applies a technique called a quantitative sandwich immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for ADAM19. Standards or samples are then added to the microtiter plate wells and ADAM19 if present, will bind to the antibody pre-coated wells. In order to quantitatively determine the amount of ADAM19 present in the sample, a standardized preparation of horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated polyclonal antibody, specific for ADAM19 are added to each well to "sandwich" the ADAM19 immobilized on the plate. The microtiter plate undergoes incubation, and then the wells are thoroughly washed to remove all unbound components. Next, A and B substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme (HRP) and substrate are allowed to react over a short incubation period.Only those wells that contain ADAM19 and enzyme-conjugated antibody will exhibit a change in colour. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the colour change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. This member is a type I transmembrane protein and serves as a marker for dendritic cell differentiation. It has been demonstrated to be an active metalloproteinase, which may be involved in normal physiological processes such as cell migration, cell adhesion, cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, and signal transduction. It is proposed to play a role in pathological processes, such as cancer, inflammatory diseases, renal diseases, and Alzheimer's disease. [provided by RefSeq, May 2013]
Uniprot Description
ADAM19: Participates in the proteolytic processing of beta-type neuregulin isoforms which are involved in neurogenesis and synaptogenesis, suggesting a regulatory role in glial cell. Also cleaves alpha-2 macroglobulin. May be involved in osteoblast differentiation and/or osteoblast activity in bone. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Human ADAM19 adam19 (Catalog #AAA726106) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA726106 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ADAM19. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "A Disintegrin And Metalloprotease 19, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
