Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF1) Active Protein | IGF1 active protein
Active Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF1)
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Activity Data
(Figure. The binding activity of IGF1 with IGFBP3.Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1), also called somatomedin C is a hormone similar in molecular structure to insulin. It plays an important role in childhood growth and continues to have anabolic effects in adults. A synthetic analog of IGF1, mecasermin, is used for the treatment of growth failure. Besides, Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 3 (IGFBP3) has been identified as an interactor of IGF1, thus a binding ELISA assay was conducted to detect the interaction of recombinant mouse IGF1 and recombinant mouse IGFBP3. Briefly, IGF1 were diluted serially in PBS, with 0.01% BSA (pH 7.4). Duplicate samples of 100muL were then transferred to IGFBP3-coated microtiter wells and incubated for 2h at 37 degree C. Wells were washed with PBST and incubated for 1h with anti-IGF1 pAb, then aspirated and washed 3 times. After incubation with HRP labelled secondary antibody, wells were aspirated and washed 3 times. With the addition of substrate solution, wells were incubated 15-25 minutes at 37 degree C. Finally, add 50uL stop solution to the wells and read at 450nm immediately. The binding activity of IGF1 and IGFBP3 was shown in Figure 1, and this effect was in a dose dependent manner.)

NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF) family of proteins that promote growth and development during fetal and postnatal life. This gene is predominantly expressed in the liver and the encoded protein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate a disulfide-linked mature polypeptide. Transgenic disruption of this gene in mice results in reduced postnatal survival and severe growth retardation. Mice lacking the encoded protein exhibit generalized organ hypoplasia including underdevelopment of the central nervous system and developmental defects in bone, muscle and reproductive systems. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms that may undergo similar processing to generate mature protein. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]

The IGF1 igf1 (Catalog #AAA2105063) is an Active Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Gly33~Ala102. AAA Biotech's Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF1) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell Culture, Activity Assays. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IGF1 igf1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF1), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
