Activity Data (Figure. The binding activity of GPC4 with FGF2.Glypican 4 (GPC4) is a cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycans which composed of a membrane-associated protein core substituted with a variable number of heparan sulfate chains. Members of the glypican-related integral membrane proteoglycan family (GRIPS) contain a core protein anchored to the cytoplasmic membrane via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol linkage. These proteins may play a role in the control of cell division and growth regulation. Besides, Fibroblast Growth Factor 2, Basic (FGF2) has been identified as an interactor of GPC4, thus a binding ELISA assay was conducted to detect the interaction of recombinant mouse GPC4 and recombinant mouse FGF2. Briefly, GPC4 were diluted serially in PBS, with 0.01% BSA (pH 7.4). Duplicate samples of 100muL were then transferred to FGF2-coated microtiter wells and incubated for 2h at 37 degree C. Wells were washed with PBST and incubated for 1h with anti-GPC4 pAb, then aspirated and washed 3 times. After incubation with HRP labelled secondary antibody, wells were aspirated and washed 3 times. With the addition of substrate solution, wells were incubated 15-25 minutes at 37 degree C. Finally, add 50uL stop solution to the wells and read at 450nm immediately. The binding activity of of GPC4 and FGF2 was shown in Figure 1, and this effect was in a dose dependent manner.)

Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Product Notes

The GPC4 gpc4 (Catalog #AAA2105128) is an Active Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Glypican 4 (GPC4) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell Culture, Activity Assays. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GPC4 gpc4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Glypican 4 (GPC4), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
