USA
Reconstitution
Reconstitute in sterile dH2O to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for FGF20 active protein
The FGF family plays important roles in morphogenesis, cellular differentiation, angiogenesis, tissue remodeling, in ammation and oncogenesis. Fibroblast Growth Factor-20 (FGF-20) is a newly discovered neurotrophic factor belonging to the FGF family. FGF-20 is most similar to FGF-9 and FGF-16. Recombinant Human FGF-20 is a 23.2kDa protein containing 209 amino acid residues.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family. The fibroblast growth factors possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. This gene product is a secreted neurotrophic factor but lacks a typical signal peptide. It is expressed in normal brain, particularly the cerebellum, and may regulate central nervous system development and function. Homodimerization of this protein was shown to regulate its receptor binding activity and concentration gradient in the extracellular matrix. Genetic variations of this gene have been associated with Parkinson disease susceptibility. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]

Product Notes

The FGF20 fgf20 (Catalog #AAA636884) is an Active Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fibroblast Growth Factor 20, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
