Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for DYRK1A elisa kit
Description: This Human Dual specificity tyrosine-phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1A (DYRK1A) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate DYRK1A in samples. An antibody specific for DYRK1A has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any DYRK1A present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for DYRK1A is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of DYRK1A bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: DYRK1A encodes a member of the Dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase family. This member contains a nuclear targeting signal sequence, a protein kinase domain, a leucine zipper motif, and a highly conservative 13-consecutive-histidine repeat. It catalyzes its autophosphorylation on serine/threonine and tyrosine residues. It may play a significant role in a signaling pathway regulating cell proliferation and may be involved in brain development. This gene is a homolog of Drosophila mnb gene and rat Dyrk gene. It is localized in the Down syndrome critical region of chromosome 21, and is considered to be a strong candidate gene for learning defects associated with Down syndrome. Alternative splicing of this gene generates several transcript variants differing from each other either in the 5' UTR or in the 3' coding region.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the Dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase (DYRK) family. This gene is a homolog of Drosophila mnb (minibrain) gene and rat Dyrk gene. It is localized in the Down syndrome critical region of chromosome 21, and is considered to be a strong candidate gene for learning defects associated with Down syndrome. Alternative splicing of this gene generates several transcript variants differing from each other either in the 5' UTR or in the 3' coding region. These variants encode at least five different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

DYRK1A: a dual-specificity protein kinase of the DYRK family. Contains a nuclear targeting signal sequence, a protein kinase domain, a leucine zipper motif, and a highly conservative 13-consecutive-histidine repeat. May play a significant role in a pathway regulating cell proliferation and may be involved in brain development. Its gene is localized in the Down syndrome (DS) critical region of chromosome 21, and is a strong candidate gene for learning defects associated with Down syndrome. Overexpression in mice gives rise to neurological abnormalities similar to those observed in DS. Five splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The Human DYRK1A dyrk1a (Catalog #AAA9715924) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715924 ELISA Kit recognizes Human DYRK1A. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Dual Specificity Tyrosine-Phosphorylation-Regulated Kinase 1A (DYRK1A), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
