Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for DNAJB1 elisa kit
Description: This Human DnaJ homolog subfamily B member 1 (DNAJB1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate DNAJB1 in samples. An antibody specific for DNAJB1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any DNAJB1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for DNAJB1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of DNAJB1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Heat shock proteins or HSPs are being synthesized under different kind of stress conditions and act as molecular chaperones for protein molecules. Because these proteins were first found in cells that were exposed to high temperatures, they are called "heat shock proteins" and have been named according to their molecular weights. Hsp40 (heat shock protein 40 kD) is a mammalian heat shock protein. Its prokaryotic homolog is DnaJ.Hsp40 is a family of heat-shock proteins that contain a 70 amino-acid consensus sequence known as the J domain. The J domain of Hsp40 interacts with Hsp70 heat shock proteins. Hsp40 heat-shock proteins play a role in regulating the ATPase activity of Hsp70 heat-shock proteins.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the DnaJ or Hsp40 (heat shock protein 40 kD) family of proteins. DNAJ family members are characterized by a highly conserved amino acid stretch called the 'J-domain' and function as one of the two major classes of molecular chaperones involved in a wide range of cellular events, such as protein folding and oligomeric protein complex assembly. The encoded protein is a molecular chaperone that stimulates the ATPase activity of Hsp70 heat-shock proteins in order to promote protein folding and prevent misfolded protein aggregation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]

Uniprot Description

Function: Interacts with HSP70 and can stimulate its ATPase activity. Stimulates the association between HSC70 and HIP.

Subunit structure: Interacts with DNAJC3. Interacts with SRPK1. Ref.6 Ref.7

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Nucleus › nucleolus. Note: Translocates rapidly from the cytoplasm to the nucleus, and especially to the nucleoli, upon heat shock. Ref.5

Induction: By heat shock. Ref.5

Sequence similarities: Contains 1 J domain.

Sequence caution: The sequence CAA44287.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Frameshift at positions 11, 28, 81 and 136.

Product Notes

The Human DNAJB1 dnajb1 (Catalog #AAA9715664) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715664 ELISA Kit recognizes Human DNAJB1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DnaJ Homolog Subfamily B Member 1 (DNAJB1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
