Human Kallikrein-13 (KLK13) ELISA Kit | KLK13 elisa kit
Human Kallikrein-13 (KLK13) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: Kallikrein-13 is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Expression of this gene is regulated by steroid hormones and may be useful as a marker for breast cancer. An additional transcript variant has been identified, but its full length sequence has not been determined. in a 300-kb region on chromosome 19q13.3-q13.4, where other kallikrein genes are localized. KLK13 exists in 2 main forms: a long form that encodes a deduced 277-amino acid protein with a predicted molecular mass of 30.6 kD, and a short form, referred to as the short KLKL4 variant, that uses an upstream alternative splice donor site located in exon 3 that generates a truncated protein. The KLK13 protein shares 51% amino acid identity with KLK11 and KLK6.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Expression of this gene is regulated by steroid hormones and may be useful as a marker for breast cancer. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2017]

Product Notes
The Human KLK13 klk13 (Catalog #AAA9715563) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715563 ELISA Kit recognizes Human KLK13. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Kallikrein-13 (KLK13), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
