Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for MYST3 elisa kit
Description: This Human Histone acetyltransferase MYST3 (MYST3) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MYST3 in samples. An antibody specific for MYST3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any MYST3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MYST3 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MYST3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: MYST3 encodes a member of the MOZ, YBFR2, SAS2, TIP60 family of histone acetyltransferases. The protein is composed of a nuclear localization domain, a double C2H2 zinc finger domain that binds to acetylated histone tails, a histone acetyl-transferase domain, a glutamate/aspartate-rich region, and a serine- and methionine-rich transactivation domain. It is part of a complex that acetylates lysine-9 residues in histone 3, and in addition, it acts as a co-activator for several transcription factors. Allelic variants of this gene are associated with autosomal dominant mental retardation-32. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the MOZ, YBFR2, SAS2, TIP60 family of histone acetyltransferases. Allelic variants of this gene are associated with an autosomal dominant form of cognitive disability. Chromosomal translocations of this gene are associated with acute myeloid leukemia. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2017]

Uniprot Description

MYST3: Histone acetyltransferase that acetylates lysine residues in histone H3 and histone H4 (in vitro). Component of the MOZ/MORF complex which has a histone H3 acetyltransferase activity. May act as a transcriptional coactivator for RUNX1 and RUNX2. Chromosomal aberrations involving KAT6A may be a cause of acute myeloid leukemias. Translocation t(8;16)(p11;p13) with CREBBP; translocation t(8;22)(p11;q13) with EP300. KAT6A- CREBBP may induce leukemia by inhibiting RUNX1-mediated transcription. Inversion inv(8)(p11;q13) generates the KAT6A-NCOA2 oncogene, which consists of the N-terminal part of KAT6A and the C-terminal part of NCOA2/TIF2. KAT6A-NCOA2 binds to CREBBP and disrupts its function in transcription activation. A chromosomal aberration involving KAT6A is a cause of therapy-related myelodysplastic syndrome. Translocation t(2;8)(p23;p11.2) with ASXL2 generates a KAT6A-ASXL2 fusion protein. Belongs to the MYST (SAS/MOZ) family.

Product Notes

The Human MYST3 kat6a (Catalog #AAA9715068) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715068 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MYST3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Histone Acetyltransferase MYST3 (MYST3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
