Immunogen
A synthesized peptide derived from human PHACTR1.
Conjugation
Unconjugated
Similarity
Binds three actin monomers via the three C-terminal RPEL repeats. Belongs to the phosphatase and actin regulator family.
Subunit Structure
Interacts (via RPEL repeats) with ACTA1 and PPP1CA; ACTA1 and PPP1CA compete for the same binding site.
Tissue Specificity
Detected in umbilical vein endothelial cells.
Function
Binds actin monomers (G actin) and plays a role in multiple processes including the regulation of actin cytoskeleton dynamics, actin stress fibers formation, cell motility and survival, formation of tubules by endothelial cells, and regulation of PPP1CA activity. Involved in the regulation of cortical neuron migration and dendrite arborization (By similarity).
Note
Enriched at synapses (By similarity). Cytoplasmic in resting cells, and is imported into the nucleus upon serum stimulation. Interaction with actin prevents nuclear import (By similarity).
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.

Product Notes

The PHACTR1 phactr1 (Catalog #AAA9630784) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PHACTR1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PHACTR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA)(peptide). ELISA(peptide): 1:20000-1:40000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PHACTR1 phactr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PHACTR1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
