Related Product Information for anti-NEK1 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a serine/threonine kinase involved in cell cycle regulation. The encoded protein is found in a centrosomal complex with FEZ1, a neuronal protein that plays a role in axonal development. Defects in this gene are a cause of polycystic kidney disease (PKD). Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Uniprot Description

NEK1: a protein kinase related to the NIMA (never in mitosis, gene A) serine/threonine kinase of Aspergillus nidulans. Expressed at high levels during gametogenesis and neurons of the peripheral ganglia. Implicated in the control of meiosis. Mouse mutants lead to facial malformation, male sterility and polycystic kidney disease. Two alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported.

Product Notes

The NEK1 nek1 (Catalog #AAA9414100) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NEK1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NEK1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NEK1 nek1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NEK1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
