Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Overlay histogram showing Hela cells stained at 37 degree C. The secondary antibody used was Goat-Anti-Mouse IgG, DyLight 488 Conjugated Highly Cross-Adsorbed(NA168821)) at 1/400 dilution for 40 min at 37 degree C. Isotype control antibody (blue line) was mouse IgG1 (1mug/1x10^6 cells) used under the same conditions. Acquisition of >10, 000 events was performed.)

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Staining CYK18 in human colon tissue sections by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P - paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue was fixed with formaldehyde and blocked with 3% BSA for 0. 5 hour at room temperature; antigen retrieval was by heat mediation with a citrate buffer (pH6). Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/25) for 1 hours at 37 degree C. A undiluted biotinylated goat polyvalent antibody was used as the secondary antibody.)
Background: KRT18 is the type I intermediate filament chain keratin 18. Keratin 18, together with its filament partner keratin 8, are perhaps the most commonly found members of the intermediate filament family. They are expressed in single layer epithelial tissues of the body. Mutations in its gene have been linked to cryptogenic cirrhosis.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
KRT18 encodes the type I intermediate filament chain keratin 18. Keratin 18, together with its filament partner keratin 8, are perhaps the most commonly found members of the intermediate filament gene family. They are expressed in single layer epithelial tissues of the body. Mutations in this gene have been linked to cryptogenic cirrhosis. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
K18: a type I cytoskeletal keratin. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. Keratin 18 and its filament partner keratin 8 are perhaps the most commonly found members of the intermediate filament gene family. They are expressed in single layer epithelial tissues of the body. Defects are a cause of cryptogenic cirrhosis.

Product Notes
The CYK18 krt18 (Catalog #AAA9232171) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CYK18 Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CYK18 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). IF: 1:25 FC/FACS: 1:25 IHC: 1:25. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CYK18 krt18 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CYK18, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
