Rabbit anti-Human MMEL1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MMEL1 antibody
MMEL1 Antibody (N-term)
neutral endopeptidase (NEP) or membrane metallo-endopeptidase (MME)
family. Family members play important roles in pain perception,
arterial pressure regulation, phosphate metabolism and homeostasis.
This protein is a type II transmembrane protein and is thought to
be expressed as a secreted protein. This gene is expressed mainly
in testis with weak expression in the brain, kidney, and heart.

Uniprot Description
MELL1: Metalloprotease involved in sperm function, possibly by modulating the processes of fertilization and early embryonic development. Degrades a broad variety of small peptides with a preference for peptides shorter than 3 kDa containing neutral bulky aliphatic or aromatic amino acid residues. Shares the same substrate specificity with MME and cleaves peptides at the same amide bond. Belongs to the peptidase M13 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Protease; EC 3.4.24.11
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p36
Cellular Component: Golgi apparatus; extracellular space; endoplasmic reticulum; integral to membrane
Molecular Function: zinc ion binding; metalloendopeptidase activity
Biological Process: proteolysis

Product Notes
The MMEL1 mmel1 (Catalog #AAA9209159) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 50-78. The MMEL1 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MMEL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MMEL1 mmel1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MMEL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
