Related Product Information for anti-FMR1 antibody
FMR1, also known as POF, FMRP, FRAXA. Entrez Protein: NP_002015. It is an RNA-binding protein that associates with polyribosomes and is a likely component of a messenger ribonuclear protein (mRNP) particle The protein may be involved in mRNA trafficking from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. A trinucleotide repeat (CGG) in the 5' UTR is normally found at 6-53 copies, but an expansion to 55-230 repeats is the cause of fragile X syndrome. Expansion of the trinucleotide repeat may also cause one form of premature ovarian failure (POF1). RNA-binding protein that plays a role in intracellular RNA transport and in the regulation of translation of target mRNAs.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene binds RNA and is associated with polysomes. The encoded protein may be involved in mRNA trafficking from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms and which are located in different cellular locations have been described for this gene. Product Notes

The FMR1 fmr1 (Catalog #AAA8538512) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FMR1 Mouse mAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FMR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:200-1:1000 ICC: 1:200-1:1000 ELISA: 1:10000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FMR1 fmr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FMR1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
