Application Notes
FC: <= 0.5 ug/test

A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest
Biological Significance
The monoclonal antibody DM1a recognizes the 50kDa cytoskeletal protein alpha tubulin in a variety of species. Tubulin, the major component of microtubules, is a dimeric protein consisting of an alpha and beta subunit. Tubulin is a GTP-binding protein that can be modified by phosphorylation and acetylation resulting in assembly or disassembly. The dynamic nature of microtubules is most evident in the mitotic apparatus. The DM1a antibody recognizes the C-terminal end of the alpha tubulin isoform.

Product Notes

The alpha Tubulin (Catalog #AAA833243) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's alpha Tubulin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). FC: <= 0.5 ug/test A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the alpha Tubulin for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "alpha Tubulin, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
