Applicable Applications for PGGT1B sirna
RNA Interference (RNAi)
Quality Control
Oligonucleotide synthesis is monitored base by base through trityl analysis to ensure appropriate coupling efficiency. The oligo is subsequently purified by affinity-solid phase extraction. The annealed RNA duplex is further analyzed by mass spectrometry to verify the exact composition of the duplex. Each lot is compared to the previous lot by mass spectrometry to ensure maximum lot-to-lot consistency.
Directions for Use
We recommends transfection with 100 nM siRNA 48 to 72 hours prior to cell lysis. Before resuspending, briefly centrifuge the tube to ensure the lyophilized siRNA is at the bottom of the tube. Resuspend the siRNA oligos to an appropriate concentration with DEPC water. For each vial, suitable for 250 transfections in 24 well plate (20 pmol for each well).
Components
We offer pre-designed sets of 3 different target-specific siRNA oligo duplexes of mouse PGGT1B gene. Each vial contains 5 nmol of lyophilized siRNA. The duplexes can be transfected individually or pooled together to achieve knockdown of the target gene, which is most commonly assessed by qPCR or western blot. Our siRNA oligos are also chemically modified (2'-OMe) at no extra charge for increased stability and enhanced knockdown in vitro and in vivo.
Preparation and Storage
Shipped at 4 degree C. Store at -20 degree C for one year.

Uniprot Description

PGGT1B: Catalyzes the transfer of a geranyl-geranyl moiety from geranyl-geranyl pyrophosphate to a cysteine at the fourth position from the C-terminus of proteins having the C-terminal sequence Cys-aliphatic-aliphatic-X. Acts on the Rac1, Rac2, Rap1A and Rap1B proteins. The beta subunit is responsible for peptide-binding. Belongs to the protein prenyltransferase subunit beta family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Transferase; EC 2.5.1.59

Molecular Function: transferase activity; protein geranylgeranyltransferase activity; isoprenoid binding; zinc ion binding; metal ion binding; CAAX-protein geranylgeranyltransferase activity; drug binding; peptide binding; catalytic activity; prenyltransferase activity

Biological Process: protein geranylgeranylation; negative regulation of nitric-oxide synthase biosynthetic process; response to cytokine stimulus; positive regulation of cell proliferation; positive regulation of cell cycle

Product Notes

The PGGT1B pggt1b (Catalog #AAA826875) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PGGT1B siRNA (Mouse) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PGGT1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PGGT1B pggt1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PGGT1B, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
